Snowbird and Alta are found in Utah

Snowbird and Alta provide some of the best skiing in Utah. They are located up the Little Cottonwood Canyon. Snowbird and Alta share a lift link and a lift pass. This combination has created the most challenging European-style ski circuit for advanced Riders and skiers in teh whole of North America. Snowbird has one of Americas few cable cars. Another term for these cable cars is aerial trams. Snowboarders were banned from Alta. Snowboarders at Snowbird enjoy a superb choice of terrain that varies from gentle bowls to extreme chutes from Hidden Peak. You will find a half pipe there.

Australia's Thredbo uses extensive snowmaking and hosts some of the longest runs on the continent. Thredbo, Australia is at an altitude of 1370m (4495ft). You will find Thredbo, in the Kosciuszko National Park, New South Wales, Australia. The field opened in the early 1950's by Austrian and Czech immigrants who were involved in the building of the Snowy Mountain Hydro Electric Scheme.
