France has over 180 ski resorts with hundreds of kilometres of ski slopes in some of the most spectacular mountains in the world. It is possible to ski all year round in France and you will find ski terrain to suit everyone.
In France you will find some of the best and most extreme ski areas in the world, also some of the biggest. There are ski resorts scattered around both of the two main mountain ranges in France, the Pyrenees and the Alps.
The French Resorts vary in style from huge purpose built monstrosities like Flaine to pretty old farming villages like Megève or Chatel. Lift systems vary enormously as well, from antiquated to modern high tech. Lift passes aren’t cheap so be careful not to lose yours.
