Snowboard Boots

When buying a pair of Snowboard Boots it can be wise to satisfy your desire as well designed and fitting boots can make a large difference to the quality of your day snowboarding. A good pair of boots will help protect your feet and ankles from the stresses of snowboarding. They will also keep your feet warm on the coldest day and help with the overall extension from your body through to your snowboard making for a better ride.

When going to buy your Snowboard Boots, choose a pair that is a snug fit at first without affecting your circulation. The lining in the boot will compress and eventually fit you comfortably. Your heels need to fix firmly into the bottom of the boot. If the heel lifts you will find it harder to snowboard and have less control over your snowboard. You can buy a heel anchor (a 3-way strap that pulls the boot in tight around your foot) to keep your heel down in the boot.

Soft boots are used by freestylers, freeriders and those looking for increased flexibility and comfort. The hard boot is more like skiing or mountaineering boots and used by racers, alpine riders and crossover skiers. A third option is hybrid boots. These give riders the stiff sole and some of the control that comes from hard boots. The main users of the hybrid boot are some alpine riders.
