Snowboarding Tricks

When you spend some time in the half-pipe you will really start to get a feel for your snowboarding and this is the place for 'Snowboarding Tricks'. There are loads of combinations of tricks to be mastered either in the half-pipe or using rails and ramps.

One of the first tricks to learn when snowboarding is going Backwards/Fakie (switch-stance). This term comes from skateboarding and applies to the idea of doing tricks while riding your board the opposite way to your normal stance. Every trick that you do becomes twice as hard when you are riding your snowboard in the opposite position to what is comfortable for you...

The most commonly known tricks are:

The 180, 360, 540 and 720, the Fakie, the Tail Grab, the Nose Grab, Air to Fakie, Wheelies, Butters, the Ollie, the Backflip, the Alley-oop, the Miller Flip, the Mosquito air, the Misty flip, the Stalefish, the Grind, Frontside Air, Backside Air, the Method Air, the Handplant, the Rodeo Flip and the Roast Beef.
